PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION


A competition to encourage creative photography to illustrate the church and its place in the life of the village community with entries (of photographs taken between 1 May - 31 July 2018) in the following categories:

  • Mathon Church Architectural Profile (including interior and exterior views of church)
  • The Life of Mathon Church. (Showing the work and the role of the Church and what positive impact it has had on the local community. This can include related projects and general events the Church has run).

The Dean of Hereford

THE DEAN OF HEREFORD CATHEDRAL
17 July in Storridge Church at 7.30 p.m.


A talk by the Very Reverend Michael Tavinor.  Admission is free (donations to Storridge Church are welcome)

This event is part of the Storridge Literary Festival  .

AN OPEN AIR SERVICE IN A GARDEN
25 July ar 'Badgers' Mathon at 10.30 a.m.

All are welcome to come and join in this informal service in the garden of 'Badgers' followed by tea /coffee.

(If you come by car please park in the church carpark and walk the short distance to 'Badgers')

FROM PAGE TO STAGE
6 August in Storridge Church at 7.30 p.m.


A talk by Iwan Lewis, actor and currently Artistic Director of the (newly opened) Barn Thetre Cirencester.  Admission is free (donations to Storridge Church are welcome)

This event is part of the Storridge Literary Festival.

AN EVENING WALK
9 August starting from Mathon Church at 6.15 p.m.


An evening country walk along some footpaths and bywayss of Mathon followed by light refreshments in the Church. All are welcome.
